Our barrel removal system for flat tops provides the much needed support at the most critical area near the nut. The barrel nut end is the most rigid part of the upper so it only makes good sense to hold the upper at its most rigid point. Proper support is the essential when your barrel nut is stubborn or you need to apply a lot of force to get things lined up. Proper holding of the upper is not the only benefit of our system, it will also fit in any bench vise that opens 3". Please look at the images, they show how to properly hold your flat top upper in the horizontal position to prevent damage
